Hair Chalk for Dogs and People

8 Apr

The other day my friend and I were talking about fun hair colors. I mentioned that I’ve been wanting to dye the tips of my hair teal, but because I have a job, that wouldn’t be advisable. She suggested trying hair chalk, one thing led to another, and we decided I needed to chalk Teddy’s hair.

I stopped at Ulta and picked up some Splat hair chalk. I’ve never used any of this stuff before, and I honestly didn’t have high hopes.

The girl on the box had light hair, and the color still looked pretty light on her. I wasn’t sure it would work on my darker than night hair.

But I decided to give it a whirl, and I was really happy with the way it turned out. See?

But I know that’s not why you’re here. You want to see the Bear. Everyone does.

I look pretty?

I’s a lion!

I don’t even know what to say about this last one. Model much, Ted?

So there you have it, Teddy and me with hair chalk. I’d say that was $5.99 well spent.

(Before anyone worries, the hair chalk is non-toxic and I didn’t put it anywhere Teddy could lick it off. Most of it came out the first time he shook his head, and I brushed the rest out when I was done taking pictures.)
