Country Outfitter Saves the Day!

Oh Lord, y’all, the past half hour has been an emotional roller coaster. Here’s what went down. For Christmas, my mother wanted to buy me a pair of boots, but she’s afraid of me because I’m kind of nuts, and she wanted to let me pick them out. I’ve had my eye on a stunning pair of Dan Post boots from Country Outfitter, and so I knew right away what I wanted to order. (And if you’re friends with me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that I’ve entered every Country Outfitter giveaway I could find in the hopes of winning these boots.)

But when I went to order them, they were only available in one size (and not mine). I had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. They were discontinued. I just knew it. I searched everywhere, and finally found them in my size at a farm supply store in Mississippi. I ordered them.

Cut to today. I still haven’t received a tracking number from Mississippi, so I gave them a ring. Turns out they don’t have them in stock, and yes, they are discontinued. They can’t get anymore. After I hung up, I felt like crying. Because did I mention that I’m sick? I’ve had a splitting headache for eight days, and cold symptoms for four. I’m a woman on the edge.

I felt emptiness and despair creeping in, and decided to take one last-ditch look at the Country Outfitter sight. As luck would have it, the clouds parted and the angels sang. There they were, in a size 6, and only two pairs left! I swear, I have never completed an online order so fast. My boots will be here soon, and all will be right with the world.

So thank you, Country Outfitter, for saving the day and what’s left of my sanity.
