Checking In: My Fall TV Picks

25 Oct

Remember back in June when I wrote about my top five fall TV picks? Well now that fall TV is in full swing, I thought it would be nice to check in and see how I’m liking all of my picks.

The Voice

My favorite part of The Voice is the bickering/bantering between the judges, which is always best during the blind auditions. It kind of hits a lull during the battle rounds, because as of now I don’t really care about any of the contestants, and the judges don’t interact as much. But I do look forward to the live shows.

The X Factor

There is nothing better than watching Britney Spears’ face during the auditions for The X Factor. I love that woman. Always have, always will. I’m convinced that she would fit in perfectly with my friends. BUT, Khloe Kardasian (I don’t even care if I spelled that right) is hosting the live shows. I just don’t know if I can handle that. Thank god for DVR.

Proof that Britney should be friends with me.

Law and Order: SVU

SVU can do no wrong. It’s still not the same without Stabler, but I will always love this show. Although, I am wondering whatever happened to Cassidy. I mean, one minute Benson is climbing all over him in his hospital bed to make out, and then we don’t hear about him again. Is he still alive? Is he still making out with Benson? I hate it when they just leave things hanging like that.

Nashville

My heart belongs to Nashville. Seriously, I am obsessed. As everyone who follows me on any social network knows. As much as I love Nashville, I’m convinced that they hate me because I called out their social media. Because yes, I really do think that they not only read my blog, but take me seriously enough to have their feelings hurt. Also, I really want to win one of their Twitter giveaways. Moving on.

The Big Bang Theory

First things first, I’m glad Howard is back from space. I was over it. I kind of love the maybe-on-maybe-off thing Leonard and Penny have going on, but the amazing scenes between Penny and Amy have definitely stolen the show. I love the way these two hilarious women have really made the show their own. And of course, Sheldon. I have big love for Sheldon.

Bonus Pick: Mob Doctor

I didn’t include Mob Doctor in my original list, because I really didn’t have high hopes for it. I was proven wrong, and now I’m mad at baseball for making me wait so long for more new episodes. Jordana Spiro is great – I loved her in My Boys and she’s even better in this. Plus, there’s so much backstory and I’m dying to uncover more of it!

Have you watched Scandal? I am obsessed with that show. I was convinced I’d hate it, but I sat down and watched all of last year’s episodes in a weekend and now I don’t miss it!

That’s what I’ve heard from everyone who watches! I don’t know if I’m ready to commit to another show. I may wait until it’s over and rent the DVD’s for a marathon. ;)
