Moving and Lazy Lasagna

2 Sep

I promise to eventually show you pictures of my new apartment, but you know how OCD I am, so I have to wait until everything is perfectly in place. I’m mostly unpacked, I just have to hang pictures, find homes for a few random things, get rid of the stack of empty boxes, that kind of thing.

I have to say, this was by far the easiest move I’ve ever done. The key difference was hiring movers. I mean, it’s not like I ever move that much on my own anyway. I’m a pointer, not a lifter. But usually I have my brothers helping me. Paid movers give you a lot less lip. I do want to inject a quick plug for the moving company I used, if you’re ever in need of movers, give JK Moving a call. They were AMAZING.

Aside from a few internet issues, everything is great in the new place. The other day while I was at work Teddy ate the trash and pooped on my rug, so I know he feels like he’s home.

Now it’s the holiday weekend and I’m kickin’ it Anne style. Which means I’ve got a lasagna in the oven and I’m sitting on the couch watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory and working.

Oh! But about that lasagna, have you ever heard of oven-ready noodles? I just discovered them today and they rock my world. You don’t have to cook the noodles first, just layer them right into the pan. Amazing. I love making my own lasagna, but I hate all the steps. So now I have a much easier way to make my favorite meal my way. Which means lots of roasted red peppers and onions, and no cheese. Because cheese is gross.

You don’t get a picture of that either, because, like so many of my dishes, while it tastes delicious, it looks like it was dropped on the floor.
