See, we’re pretty much BFF’s now. She also agrees that I’m hilarious and sexy. (Okay, so maybe I told her to write that, but since she actually did it and didn’t just laugh and call me crazy, it means she agrees. Or at least, she doesn’t totally disagree. But let’s not argue semantics.)
Oh hi there, phone shadow! That’s how you know I’m a really good photographer, not everyone can capture the phone shadow like that.
So, I’ve had her book, Let’s Pretend This Never Happened for about six weeks and just never actually got around to reading it. But then, over the weekend, I finally picked it up. Well, first things first, I am really glad I decided to read this at home and not while traveling. It isn’t just “laugh out loud” funny, it’s gasping for breath, tears streaming, face hurts from laughing so hard funny. And that kind of funny is best enjoyed in the privacy of your own home, where there’s only the dog to look at you like you’re nuts.
This book is written like only Jenny can write – it manages to be hilarious, heartfelt, poignant, sad, hopeful, and wonderful all at once. Whether you read her blog or not – and really, you should ALL be reading her blog – this book is a “can’t miss”. Go buy it. Now.
